Port continues to tell the big lie

News that the Port of Olympia has been recognized as the State’s “Port of the Year” for 2013 by the Washington Public Port’s Association was great news for the port.  Congratulations.

Now- lets get on with the fact that the port continues to tell the big lie – – that it’s making a profit – – while continuing to take $5 million in taxpayer subsidies each year.

The fact that the port continues to lose money every year and has to be bailed out by the taxpayers, is one of the reasons that Jeff Davis was defeated in his efforts to retain his port seat.

Port officials continue to claim the port is making a profit, while taking the bail out money from county taxpayers.

Not only have the taxpayers been duped but so has the Washington Public Port’s Association.
