Transit director hiring is a slow process

December 5th, 2012 by Ken

Intercity Transit director Mike Harbour went to work for Sound Transit on October 29.

Ann Freeman-Manzanares, a two decade employee of Intercity Transit and the former development director, is filling in as interim director.

And, the agency is still in the process of hiring a search firm, which won’t happen until February.

Intercity Transit has sent out a proposal to search firms nationwide who might be interested in helping the agency hire a director.  The transit agency’s search committee  will interview interested firms on January 7 and ask the transit board to award the contract at its February meeting.

It will be sometime later before a new director comes on for Intercity Transit.
