Rogers denied party help

Karen Rogers, a Democrat, who came in second place in the race for Thurston County Commissioner Postion one, and will be on the General Election ballot, has been denied the help of the Thurston County Democratic Party.

Despite receiving help from the party in two previous runs for public office, Rogers was denied help this time. The candidate attributes the denial to support she has received from some in the Republican party.

The Top Two Primary has created this conundrum, where two candidates from the same party reach the General Election. In this case, the party apparently is sticking with incumbent Cathy Wolfe.
