John Snaza – Decision Maker
June 21st, 2011 by Ken
Thurston County Sheriff John Snaza doesn’t agree that there’s less crime now, despite statistics which show that crime, all across the United States, is down.
Snaza made his disagreement on KGY Radio’s “Decision Makers” Tuesday at Two.
The sheriff said that crime is up and continuing up, but due to budget cuts there are less police officers on the road to report crimes, and consequently, statistics don’t show crimes which haven’t been investigated. “It’s always that way in tough economic times,” he said. “When times are good, and we can hire more police, then crime statistics increase.”
