American Legion reports theft

The Lacey American Legion Post (Sgt Justin D Norton Post 100) has reported $7500 in money missing from the post’s account.

The Post’s finance officer has been removed and has been arrested by the Lacey Police Department.   The issue is now in the hands of the prosecuting attorney.

Commander of the Post, Dale J. Movius, took responsibility for the missing money and the “lackadaisical bookkeeping practice” and will offer his resignation on September 21.
