Lacey Rotary gives scholarships

The Rotary Club of Lacey recently awarded $38,000 in scholarships to students in the North Thurston Public School’s area and in the process recognized outstanding students.

Anna Grzankowski from River Ridge High School and Tony Nguyen from Timberline recieved $1500 one-year Service Above Self Scholarships.  Nguyen’s was in honor of Past Rotary President Rod Reining.

Taylor Miller from North Thurston High School received the John MacGugan $1500 four-year renewable Service Above Self and Interact Scholarship.   Interact is a Rotary high school club.

Matthew Hubbard from Timberline High School received the Jean Solle $1500 four-year renewable Service Above Self Scholarship.

Blake Geyen from River Ridge High School received a $2500 four-year renewable Charles and Helen Miller Service Above Self Scholarship

Madhura Panjini from Timberline High School also received a $2500 four-year renewable Charles and Helen Miller Service Above Self Scholarship.

Lacey Rotary has awarded nearly a half million in scholarships during its 40 years of service to the community.
