Telford opts for higher office

April 10th, 2008 by Ken

I’m not sure it’s a higher office or not, but Olympia Port Commissioner Paul Telford is giving serious consideration to seeking election to the Washington State Legislature for the vacant House position in the 35th District.

Telford is unsure under what political banner he will make the run but is considering Democrat, Republican or Independent.  He said his political philosophy is more  like Democrat Tim Sheldon.

During his time on the Olympia Port Commission, Telford has been conservative and frugal with the public’s money and has pushed for more openess on the part of the Commission.

He is expected to carry those qualities with him, if and when he decides to run for the State Legislature.
