Ken Ahlf dies

Former Lacey City Attorney Ken Ahlf has died after a long illness.

Ahlf was appointed city attorney for Lacey in 1967 and elected to the position in 1970.   When the city changed government forms in 1974, Ahlf was once again appointed city attorney.

He held that position until his retirement a few weeks ago on December 31, 2013.

The City of Lacey had been preparing a ceremony to honor him for his years of service.

No memorial service has yet been announced.
