Lacey Chamber seeks new executive director
Fred Wright, the current executive director of the Lacey Chamber of Commerce, has announced that he is stepping down from his job. Wright will serve until Christmas to give the chamber a chance to find a replacement.
Lacey Chamber President Angelique Wilson said that Wright came to the chamber job at a pivotal time and had accomplished several tasks, including construction of a new website. He also created internal procedures that helped the chamber operate.
He also assured funding for the city’s Third of July fireworks display by lining up sponsors for the next three years.
“We were fortunate to have Fred for eight months and wish him future success,” Wilson said.
Work to find a new chamber executive is underway.
Chamber officer Al Eckroth is chairing the search committee.
