Lets get real folks

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn wants another $4 billion dollars in funding for basic education.

Did you hear what he said.   Dorn wants another $4 billion in education funding on top of the current funding.   He sees the current $1 billion that is under consideration by the state legislature, as just a “down payment” towards fully funding basic education, which he estimates will take about $4 billion dollars in additional revenue.

There just doesn’t seem to be any end to the needs of education funding.   Because, this is just what he wants for basic education.  We can’t forget our community college system and the needs of higher education as well.   They also need billions of dollars.

Billions and billions and billions of dollars more for education – – and to what purpose.

Our educational system is controlled by government unions, who won’t be happy until every penny of every taxpayer dollar goes into education.

Remember, that 85 percent of every penny spent on education goes to the salaries, medical care and retirement benefits of employees of the educational system.  Those are  the same people represented by the unions.

The kids are just the excuse unions need to tug at the heartstrings of the taxpayers.

They could care less about the kids.  All they want is more money for their members.

Lets get real folks.

If teacher unions cared about the kids, then they would support efforts to overhaul our educational system and make it more competitive.

A monopoly on education doesn’t make the system better – – it just makes it bigger and more expensive.
