Efforts by South Puget Sound Community College to move its Lacey branch to Sixth Avenue and Rowe Six is underway.

According to President Tim Stokes, the college is currently going out for RFP’s for contractors and architects to begin the rehabilitation of Rowe Six, the college’s new Lacey campus.

Initial plans call for the renovation of two of the property’s five buildings with opening scheduled for summer 2015.  Stokes said the college has most of the needed money on hand.

Stokes is the new president of SPSCC and took office on February 1.   He made his comments on KGY 1240 AM’s Tuesday morning show “Decision Makers”.
