Over the past 25 years, it has cost $30.2 million to clean up the McFarland Cascade site on the Port of Olympia.

Of that cost, the Department of Ecology has paid $13.6 million, Insurance has paid $7.5 million and McFarland has paid $3.9 million. The Port of Olympia and Thurston County taxpayers have contributed $5.2 million.
