National Night Out

Last Tuesday night, neighborhoods in communities around the United States, joined together in National Night Out, an opportunity to meet your neighbor and join together in friendship.

While many local neighborhoods in Thurston County joined in,  none was more successful than in Lacey, where some 700-800 attendees gathered at Horizon Pointe community park to eat, drink and get to know each other.

Helped by local businesses, Target for example donated drinks and chips and gift cards, Costco donated condiments and paper products and other merchants contributed lesser amounts.

Entertainment was provided by magician Jeff Evans and music by the Chris Ward band.   In addition there were games for the children.
