Tumwater council favors Capitol Lake

June 5th, 2009 by Ken

The Tumwater City Council has voted to endorse and support the continuation of Capitol Lake as its prefered alternative for the lake.  But the recommendation wasn’t unaimous.

By a 4-3 vote, the Tumwater Council this week decided to favor the lake as opposed to turning the area back into a free flowing estuary.

The Capitol Lake advisory committee is scheduled to make its recommendation to the Department of General Administration sometime in August.

Tumwater’s support of the lake option will be forwarded along with the committee’s plan.
