News quickie – radio station sold

Olympia based radio station KFMY 97.7 The Eagle, has been sold to a company which also owns KOMO radio in Seattle.

All of the current staff have been let go.

There’s no certainty but experts think the station will be moved to Seattle where the KOMO  AM signal will be moved to 97.7  FM and will compete with KIRO radio which has moved its AM signal to 97.3 FM.
