Manhas, staff choice as well
March 28th, 2009 by Ken
Raj Manhas, the choice of the North Thurston School Board to become the district’s new superintendent, was also the staff favorite as well.
Several of the district’s top leadership told me that they favored Rajinder “Raj” Manhas from among the three finalists to fill the vacancy of the retiring Jim Koval.
Cited were his personality, his financial experience, and his stated desire to make running North Thurston Public Schools a life commitment. None of the district’s top staff whom I talked with, felt his lack of classroom experience would be a major problem.
