St Peter’s Hospital to expand

Providence Health, headquartered in Seattle, has announced that it will spend $13 million at St. Peter’s Hospital to expand surgical space.
In addition, it will spend another $27 million at St. Peter’s to add 21 more beds and six emergency-treatment rooms.
Thurston County’s population had been growing at a rate of 4 percent while volume at the hospital had been growing by 7 percent.
A spokesman for the hospital said they would use local resources for construction.
