7-11 predicts election
7-11 stores around the country have been selling drinks in cups of the customer’s choice – – either Barack Obama or John McCain. The results are tabulated from each store and the results are posted.
They’ve done this for the past three elections going back to 2002 and 2004. In every case they have correctly predicted the outcome of the presidential race.
As of yesterday 7-11 stores nationwide have Barack Obama defeating John McCain by 60-40 percent. In Washington state, the margin is 62.5 percent for Obama and 37.44 percent for McCain.
In Olympia, the result mirrors national trends. Obama with 60.32 percent while McCain has 39.68 percent. Obama’s greatest margin of victory in the state is in King County where he leads McCain 69.18% to 30.82%. Only one area of Washington state went for McCain. That was the Tri-Cities which had McCain ahead of Obama 50.46% to 49.54%.
